Re: Good News for Israel
Hudswell, I agree that PIRA were loosing support for the numerous atrocities they carried out, we can be thankful for that. Like you, two of my brothers also carried out numerous tours in NI & lost comrades in the process....so you should understand better than most, at what cost peace. I person...

Re: Good News for Israel
Amos, you have misconstrued my meaning, I mentioned NI as an analogy about conflict, it is irrelevant how it starts, the important thing is how it ends. You asked if we would engage with terrorists to end hostilities, clearly we did, it worked. Perhaps Israel & America could learn something from...

Re: Good News for Israel
I’m sorry Amos, whilst I can understand your predicament, ( I was born in Belfast ), I agree with Dominic on this one, it can only be a setback for any peace negotiations to start. The 7 Pacific countries that voted for the US, are reliant on American funding / security, Guatemala purchases it’s arm...

Re: Best Xmas advert
Yes Stelios, I agree, a great Christmas advert, very poignant, I seem to remember that it caused an outcry from some quarters at the time, for reasons I will never understand.
The futility of war eh?.
Thanks for posting MM, interesting reading.

Re: Very Sad News
Hello Kay, Like many others, I only knew Dave from his many helpful postings, I was saddened to read your post. There is never a ‘ good ‘ time to lose a loved one, but from personal experience, this time of year is especially poignant, I hope you have a close circle of family & friends that will...

They might be the largest party in NI, ( by a very small margin ), but they DO NOT represent the majorty view.

Re: Is this the quote of the year?
There are many vocations that use ‘black humour’ in order to alleviate traumatic experiences, that said, it is generally done amongst the group involved. Gove is a Government Minister, & should behave, always, in a manner befitting the office he represents, his comments spoken live on the Today ...

Re: Is the tide finally turning?
TM put her party before country by calling that car crash of a GE, then miraculously finding the nonexistent money tree in order to give the DUP a bribe to cling onto power. The Government have, so far, been a shambolic embarrassment, a laughing stock, consisting of self serving individuals who seem...

Re: Is the tide finally turning?
A perfect example of a biased right wing rant, & another reason why the opposing sides will never agree.
