Trouble Signing into Cytanet Mail

Is anyone else having problems signing in to Cytanet Mail? This could be to do with the upgrade to fibre now in progress around Peyia.

Re: Biometric Card - 2026

As I replied earlier on this Post. As far as I am aware, It isn't compulsory YET, for holders of "Yellow Slips" with no expiry date issued before Brexit to change to the Biometric card, convenient, yes. If your travel is between the UK and Cyprus ONLY, i.e.between two countries not in the ...

It's been built too narrow for buses to swing around in it. Got that from that thoroughly reliable man every pub has.

Re: Forget gas.. Energy storage is the answer

Perhaps the other alternative for Cyprus is to do what Cuba did with their off-shore gas and oil fields. After cracking the crude oil and filtering the gas they fed it directly into their power stations. Each household/citizen/business paid a small monthly maintenance fee and then had a generous fre...

Bicaronate of Soda 500mg Tablets - Unobtainable

There appears to be a Europe-USA-wide shortage of prescription-level Bicarbonate of Soda, 500mg. In Paphos, the General Hospital is now out of stock and do not know when it will be available again. The same story with the high street pharmacies. Is anybody else in the same situation? Interested to k...

Re: Triple Glazing

Thank you for that Andy most helpful. Would installing separate sliding glazed panels just behind the double-glazing reduce the traffic noise? I had a private glazier install this in my London office that overlooked Oxford Street and was very effective.

Re: Passport Stamp & MEU3

I've found that when returning to Paphos airport I show my MEU3 (Yellow Slip) first to the immigration officer and then my passport it doesn't get stamped.

Freedom 24 Banking & Savings

I just discovered the following banking/savings organisation offering reasonably good interest on savings. Too good to be true yet again? Has anybody had dealings with them and/or invested with them? Any feedback is most appreciated.

Re: MEU2 visa

What is concerning some people that have dependents with MEU1 visas and fulfil the pre-Brexit rights but live with their parents out here full time is that they don't have the necessary proof of five years of residency, (electricity bills,) to obtain the Laminated card required by July 2026. Does th...

Paphos Online Supermarket delivery

I would appreciate any feedback on people’s experiences with Alphamega or other Paphos supermarket online shopping and their promptness of delivery to Peyia. Particularly concerned with ordering frozen/fresh items. Many thanks.

I wish I had installed guttering around my villa years ago, made such a difference. Stopped most of the mould that everybody suffers from in the older buildings. Done by a local builder.

Re: Transferring Ownership

Tried transferring ownership of my car to my son this morning at the Driving centre up Mesogi Road but failed due to not having a customs clearance for the car bought 22 years ago duty-free. The clerk fully accepted the duty-free period of 10 years had expired and that there was no duty to pay. Came...
