Re: Vournia Nature Trail
What a great walk Dominic....beautiful scenery too. I love walks and nature trails that aren't too demanding, and seeing the countryside of this beautiful island. Love to explore. Can't wait to try this one. Perfect!

What a fabulous blog!.....just goes to show how many interesting places there are in the Paphos region. I've been to quite a few of those places, and never tire of re-visiting them.
I'm sure your visitors had a wonderful time.

Re: Paphos Sea Front And Harbour
A lovely article Dominic, and your ariel shots are fabulous.
I think the harbour restaurants will look very nice once everything is finished, and the exposed stone work adds a more authentic look. I like what is happening to the area, and look forward to having my frappe there again soon.

Re: Ayia Napa Aquaduct
Great blog Dominic.....very interesting, thank you. I love stuff like this.
Lovely to see that there's still interesting historical places to visit amongst the bars/nightclubs, and you can walk along the aquaduct which is even better.
Must visit when my son is over next month.

I had a call from CYTA a few weeks ago, to let me know I'd be receiving the new fibre optic broadband at no extra charge from 30mb to 200mb in May. I'm in Universal. Fabulous!

I can recommend The Clothing Lounge in Chlorakas.....I regularly model for the shop at fashion shows. We have other ladies who model, and are all ages, and sizes, and they all look fantastic. So much to choose from, for all occasions, and plenty of different sizes. Lisa the owner is extremely helpfu...

Re: GESY eligibility
Thanks everyone.......as I haven't applied for my MEU3 yet, I can't become a member.
I began to complete the registration form, and only got as far as choosing 'permanent resident', but the system recognised that I don't have the required MEU3 certificate.

As I'm not in possession of a MEU3 Certificate yet....(I have lived in Cyprus for just over 5 years, but still only hold a MEU1), I unfortunately can't complete the registration form.

Thank you very much Jeanne.
A very useful document. I can see that I am eligible, and I'll now proceed to join the GESY system.

Re: GESY eligibility
Good evening, Have the rules for joining GESY changed?......back in August 2019 I asked if I was eligible to join. Members kindly posted some useful information, and the conclusion was, I wasn't able to use the health system yet, as I am under station pension age, don't work, receive a small private...

Re: Non GESY vaccine shots
Like Dominic, I also received a call for my vaccination on Friday morning, after completing the appln form for non-Gesy citizens, in January. Didn't hear anything until this week. The system does work, and think we just needed to be patient, as there's so many of us in the same boat waiting to hear.

The only flight leaving the UK at the moment are British Airways - Heathrow to Larnaca - Thursdays and Sundays. I'm a legal resident and recently flew back to Cyprus on one of these flights. Re: Thursday 11th March - Last day to renew road tax for 2021
I normally renew my road tax for 12 months at the beginning of January on the jcc system, but this time I annoyingly made a mistake and only taxed my car for 3 months (until end of March).
Would I have to pay a surcharge when I go to pay for the next 9 months?
