Re: Printer Ink cartridges for charity

I am not sure why the URL doesn't work. If anyone is interested in what we are doing then this link should hopefully work:

Printer Ink cartridges for charity

I posted some time back about collecting used printer ink cartridges, and the response has been great. Thank you to everyone who has contributed. The money that we raise will be put to good use. Just a reminder if I may. My UK based Rotary Club ( egmac-rotary.uk ) is collecting ink cartridges which ...

Printer cartridges - recycle for charity!

I wonder if I might mention the collection of used printer cartridges again. I am collecting these for my Rotary group's charity in the UK, where the money they make is put to very good use. We can take any type, and in the Paphos and Polis area they can be left at either of Holitec's offices, or at...

These are starting to come in now.
Many, many thanks for all your support.
They (or rather the money that they produce) will be put to very good use.

Re: Little animal story in pictures ...

These are Troodos Lizard, found over the whole of Cyprus.
The ones PW refer to are probably the Snake-eyed Lizard, the most common of our three true lizards (Spiny-footed Lizard being the third).

There are also four skinks, two geckos, one chameleon and one agama.
Fascinating creatures.

Printer cartridges - recycle for charity!

My UK Rotary Club, the eClub of Greater Manchester and Cheshire, is able to get cash for printer ink cartridges, for use in our charitable work both in the UK and around the world. Most are acceptable but I will be happy to have whatever I can get, and am asking for people to not throw them away as ...

Trump and Kim Jong Un

After numerous rounds of "We don't know if Kim Jong Un is still alive," Kim Jong Un himself decided to send Donald Trump a letter in his own handwriting to let him know he was still in the game. Donald opened the letter which appeared to contain a single line of coded message: 370HSSV-0773...

Re: oxo cubes

Doesn't seem to be any brand of beef stock cubes available, in Paps or Lidl. I asked in Paps and they said "out of stock" (No pun intended!)
Fortunately I'm going to the UK so will be able to bring some back with me, although they sometimes cause concern at airport security.

Re: Police launch seat-belt campaign

It is unbelievable that anyone wouldn't want to wear a seat belt. You can be the safest driver in the world but that won't help when an idiot come out of a side street and hits you. There was a very good public service film on UK TV some time back, showing a woman driving her car with her kids in th...

Re: On holiday in Cyprus? Just don't expect to laze around a pool

The real problem is the matter of whether the public liability insurance will be valid for using unlicensed pools and who would be liable if their is an indecent When renewing our development's insurance with TopQuotes I asked this very question, and was assured that the cover is good whether the p...

We did register with the Tax Office for IPT but have no income in Cyprus and are below the threshold for IPT.

Re: Brexit and MEU1 etc

3 months per trip but not more than 180 (or 182?) days per year. Within the Schengen area there is also a restriction to not stay more than 90 days within every 180 day period. As Cyprus isn´t part of the Schengen area I´m not sure whether that applies here, too. Thanks jeba. That's the way we have...
