Re: Consumers should brace for much higher prices in basic goods this Christmas

Personally I find that meat hasn't got much flavour anymore. Usually you have to put something with it to make it tasty, so for me it's a waste of money.

Much prefer to cook with halloumi or fish. Could I be a vegetarian, I think yes, as long as I didn't smell bacon cooking :?

Re: Theft at Paphos Airport

In my case, the fact was that the airport employee was not handing my watch back to me, not removing it from the tray.

It would be easy to say that he hadn't seen it.

Re: Theft at Paphos Airport

Same at Larnaca Airport. The year before last I was returning to the UK, and put my expensive watch in the tray, I was having assistance through the airport, as I'm disabled. The person helping me returned everything to me from the tray, except my watch, three times I asked for it, but the guy just ...

No doubt the success or otherwise of having a female playing 007, will be proved at the box office.

For me there was only one James Bond. RIP Sean.

Re: If only I'd warned...

Is it possible that Lloyd is continually insulting Brexit voters in order that he, and not Brexit, becomes the focus of the discussion ?

Just a thought.

I wasn't aware that you had to take a test to tow a caravan or trailer.

We towed a caravan for years, neither my husband or I took a test, and no, we never had an accident, (thank goodness).

Re: Dumped kitten

What a terrible death this little one would have had  I had three rescue cats and one 'dumped' kitten, sadly in spite of all efforts to save her, she died. The other three did very well, two I brought back to the UK with me, the third sadly had to be put to sleep, due to illness at the age of ...

Would it not be possible to have the cheque paid into your UK account, then withdraw the cash at an ATM ?

You assume that everyone is aware of the explosion in Kabul. I was not until a few seconds ago, and to be fair, as to the 60 posts you refer to, how many were after the explosion ?

Of course it's a serious situation, but please be realistic.

You may believe that most staff shortages are caused by Brexit, I do not.

A friend who works in one of the supermarkets told me that a few weeks ago, a massive thirty three staff members were off because they had been pinged, the result of this is obvious.

Re: Chicken in short supply in UK… along with other goods..

Dee I shop in Hereford or Ledbury, and can find everything I need, maybe I'm just lucky. How do you know that the size of lorries is a cause of concern to the police ? I have seen no mention of that. It is obvious that, as usual, Brexit is to blame for everything by some. As for shortages of goods i...

One, I did live in Cyprus for ten years, and I have many friends there.

Two, my son, his wife and children are currently living in Cyprus.

Three, you didn't answer my question, nicely sidelined.
