Re: first experience visiting GESY doctor

I registered with a GP directly and unfortunately at the moment I have no access to web sites or links .. Being registered doesn't mean you have been enrolled in GESY. Once your application has been approved (you get an email) you see the doctor who follows a process whereby he gives you a code and...

Re: General Hospital

Re... " How is it crazy Trev? Would they be open in other countries ? Of course not. "
The only other country I have experience of is the UK... I am pretty sure that if someone like the president was to die then the hospital outpatient departments would not close completely..

Re: General Hospital

You are correct it was not a Bank Holiday.. But the fact that the General hospital was not open for previously booked appointment is scandalous.. Some people will have needed to get scans or Xrays to see their doctor in the next day or so.. People will have needed blood tests prior to seeing their d...

Re: Doctors overloaded weeks after Gesy launch

There are of course lots of things to take into account. Many of what were private GP's here already have a receptionist to take care of the bookings when clients phone in.. Even the dentist that you an I use has one.. But also in our experience many of the doctors working from the different hospita...

Re: Doctors overloaded weeks after Gesy launch

You cannot expect the doctor to do all this extra office work.. So the receptionist and other helpers have to take on some extra responsibility

Re: Photovoltaic electricity

Max said... Quote " and also it is possible now to apply for a 10 kWp system. " unquote....
I just replied that the average person (in my view) would not need a 10 kWp system... I have a 3 kWp system and usually that supplies all we need for a large 4 bed bungalow..

WHL. it is good to know that you can use whichever Pharmacy you want to.. We are going to try a different one to the one we usually use. daveg, it is worrying, because you have no idea if they have even got the papers you sent.. We applied by using our chosed doctor. It took a while but not 5 weeks....

Re: Doctors overloaded weeks after Gesy launch

Back onto the topic.. I phoned our chosen doctor this morning and asked for an appointment just to obtain a repeat prescription.. So I was given an appointment tomorrow afternoon, when I should only have to wait a small amount of time.. My last visit to a GP was at Polis Hospital, where I waited jus...

Re: Photovoltaic electricity

We have had a 3 kw system for 3 or 4 years now, and it cost roughly €5,000. It is on the roof and there is nothing to cause any shadows on it.. It faces South East, rather then directly South.. It is very rare for us to have to pay for any electricity at all now, we just pay the standing charges eve...

Re: Blood tests at Paphos General.

We were not told about the records, but not to worry.. People will know what they have been prescribed and for what ailment, so you can write it down and put it in a file..
