The Ktima Folklore Association and guests

Two days filled with traditional sounds, images and flavours, dedicated to the folklore culture of Cyprus and other countries. 

In 2017, the European Capital of Culture welcomes music and dance from Cyprus, Pontus, the Mediterranean Sea and other European Capitals of Culture. Focussing on folklore creation, a shadow theatre will be set up, traditional games, fairy tales and presentations of tools and musical instruments, as well as food and wine. The “Ktima” Folklore Association, organises this event with the participation of music and dance ensembles of foreign residents as well as a folklore group from the Basque Country.

The Venue

28 October Square is located just off Kennedy Square in the centre of the upper town. It is between the town hall and the library.
